THE AUTHOR

I write with a heart for new believers and a deep reverence for the work of the Holy Spirit. This book was born of prayer, necessity, and a desire to walk alongside those who have recently been baptized, especially during the tender and formative first forty days of faith.

A few years after graduating from college, I came to understand what Jesus Christ had sacrificed on my behalf. Baptism became my willing response to faith. Like many new believers, I stepped forward with an open heart, trusting God to lead the way. Over time, that faith grew into a life of service.

I have been blessed to teach Bible classes across all age groups and to preach the gospel of Christ from various pulpits. As a former college track athlete, I remain active and often reflect on the discipline and daily commitment required both in physical training and in spiritual growth. I came to the Lord with an empty cup, and He has been filling it ever since.

Above all, I count my greatest earthly blessing as being the father of Bernard, Brian, and Briana Williams. To God be the glory. As I continue to labor for the Lord’s church—the church described in the Scriptures (Matthew 16:18)—my prayer is that this book will gently guide new believers to draw closer to God, listen for His voice, and begin a lasting walk of faith.
